Interactive Guide: Schedule a Network Discovery Scan

1. From the Scanning page, click New Scan.

2. In the Choose a Scan Type drawer, select Network Discovery.

3. Enter the IP address network or networks to scan.

4. Credentialed access is recommended to gather more detailed information about the devices in the network. To use credentialed access, enable Credentials.

5. Enter credentials for an account that has administrative rights on the target systems.

6. Username
Enter the account name. In a domain environment, enter only the username. Do not include the domain in this field.

7. Password
Enter the password for that account.

8. Domain
This field is optional. If the targets are domain-joined, enter the NetBIOS domain name. If the targets are in a workgroup or use a local account, leave this field blank.

9. Select the sensor that will run the scan.

10. Click Schedule to move forward with your scan configuration.

11. Enter a unique scan name.

12. Choose whether to run the scan now or set a recurring schedule.

13. Click Submit.
